THE AUSSIE OUTBACK CHILDREN'S SERIES
Aussie Owned & Produced

The award winning children's series of true blue Australian iconic animals, the story of a little girl who shares the adventures that the animals experience, from an outback party to the outback school to a wonderful songbook featuring a miriad of authentic Australian original songs.

THE AUSSIE OUTBACK PARTY

Finalist at the Australian Bush Laureate Awards and winner at the TSA Songwriters Salute Awards.  The Aussie Outback Party features a little girl who is invited to the annual Aussie outback party by a very polite wombat.  The rhyming scheme is consistent and engaging with a rollicking, singsong rhythm that the young ones love.

Eric the Emu appears on the pages but sometimes he likes to hide, so the little ones have great delight in finding him.

A reading of the book is on the accompanying CD (when a kookaburra laughs it's time to turn the page) followed by two original songs.

THE AUSSIE OUTBACK SCHOOL

Winner at the Australian Bush Laureate Awards and at the TSA Songwriters Salute  Awards.  The Aussie Outback School tells the tale of a sad wombat who feels he's no good at anything at school and feeling hopeless because he can't yet read or write or keep up with the other animals in the playground.  The School has a very important rule - "Everybody is welcome"

THE AUSSIE OUTBACK SONGBOOK

Nominated for 2013 Australian Bush Laureate Awards Children’s Poem Book of the Year + TSA Songwriter’s Salute Awards + CMAA Golden Guitar Awards.  The third book in the series, same style and format as the previous two books, begins with a poem “The Music of the Bush” then features each song’s lyrics beautifully illustrated in vibrant colour. The collection of 10 original songs vary from “What Made the Kookaburra Laugh” a toe tapping, upbeat bluegrass tune to the calm and haunting harmonies of waltzing ballad “The Outback Lullaby. Novelty feel good songs including “Say G’day Mate”, “Don’t Forget Tasmania” and “Christmas in the Top End” have been favourites with the adults. Children love dancing to the actions sung in “The Aussie Outback Gym”, the swinging “Billabong Song” and the upbeat country waltz rhythm of “Eric the Emu” with its beautiful moral message.

THE AUSSIE OUTBACK GOES BUMP IN THE NIGHT

This book aims to help children demystify their night time terrors by explaining how things that appear scary in the dark are often just everyday items. Using the same rollicking, upbeat rhyming pattern as the earlier books and illustrated with humour and an Australian theme, this book will appeal to toddlers and up.

Bump in the Night is beautifully illustrated with iconic Aussie animals on every page. As with all the Aussie Outback books, artist Penny's signature character

"Eric the Emu" is present on every page, sometimes hiding for young readers to find. There is also a page of Aussie animal "glow in the dark" stickers for children of all ages to enjoy.

THE AUSSIE OUTBACK PLAYING CARDS "31-EMUS WILD

This delightful animated set of cards features 12 iconic Australian animals with “Eric the Emu” as the wild card.
This educational card game was developed by Professor Brendan Bartlett PhD (Education) MA, BA, Dip Ed, as a fun way for children to gain confidence with their mathematics. For younger children, the cards can be used to develop fine motor skills and memory/logic techniques while playing old favourites such as “snap” or “pairs”. They can also be used to identify Australian animals, both images and words. Older children can play “31-Emus Wild” an educational game that encourages the children to practice mental arithmetic, counting on their fingers or using more advanced techniques such as “counting on” or “doubles and near doubles” commonly taught in early primary schooling.
